Though there is some pointed criticism of bundle participation, most importantly, that the lion’s share of the profits go to the promoters, the developer seems to have found the overall experience beneficial.

Hardware test gives you the lowdown on the physical state of your Mac. On the newest models - MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and MacBook - holding down D during boot up will enter your machine into Hardware Test without needing a disk. Good to know.

Firefox 3 is ready for download! I’ve been trying to get in now on and off for about an hour, and seems that their servers finally regained traction. Go now to help them set a world record for most downloads in a single day.

Iris Image Editor

Iris is a new layer based image editor for OS X Leopard. It looks pretty and costs 79$, but it has to compete with both Pixelmator and Acorn. We’ll see how that goes.
