Delish – View High Res Thumbnails of your Del.icio.us Bookmarks

delish-icon.pngDel.icio.us is an online bookmarking service which allows you to access your bookmarks from any computer anywhere in the world. On the other hand, I need access to my bookmarks most often when I’m sitting in front of my own computer, so I find it good practice to use a Del.icio.us client for my posting and bookmark searching/browsing. I am a huge fan of the open source Cocoalicious for this purpose, but it is certainly not the only player on the Mac field.

Delish is a Del.icio.us client that downloads high-res webpage snapshots of your entire Del.icio.us library displays them in a dedicated window. It’s really beautiful:

Delish also supports finger gestures (a la MacBook Air or the newest MacBook Pros) and double clicking on a bookmark thumbnail will open it in an external browser. Unfortunately, you can’t presently post to Del.icio.us from the app, which is, frankly, lame, but hopefully the ability will be added in a future update. Moreover, upon first launch, it takes a significant chunk of time and bandwidth do download all the screenshots. Despite these drawbacks, it’s a flash way to view your online bookmarks and well worth a look. All we need now is Cover Flow view and we’re set.
