Fruity Apple Icons by Vincent Garnier
It isn’t news that Apple puts a huge emphasis on design. Apple products are sleek and seamless, as appealing to the touch as to the eye. Even the Apple Logo, as simple and elegant in its design as the products it adorns, has been found of itself to inspire creativity. Engineered from the inside out for ease of use, an Apple computer seems more than a machine. It is a work of art.
Designed by Vincent Garnier, these Apple icons are every bit as polished as the company that inspired them. They are nine icons in all at 512 x 512 in png format. Each apple also has a .ico file that allows you to use it as an icon for anything on your system (if you don’t know how to change icons in OS X, this post will explain the process). They’re so beautiful, in fact, that I believe it’s a good idea to grab a bite before looking if you’re on an empty stomach – otherwise you might try to have a bite. Here is a full-size preview of one of the apples – ‘Green’:

Amazing!
The moment I seen these, I thought of tons of places where they could be deployed. For instance, if you’re a return visitor to MacMembrane, you may notice that the site has just undergone a subtle redesign. Look around – there are modified Fruity Apples scattered about (take a look in the comments box, for example!). The world is an exciting place when artists give away work of this quality.
