I can understand when Genius fails with lesser listened to bands (although this should change very shortly) and with mislabeled artists - but The Beatles? That's a significant omission. Given Apple's history with The Beatles catalogue, I'm wondering if this isn't something intentional on Apple's part, but I can't see the reasoning behind it if that's the case. I've run into this problem many times with Matisyahu. (Jewish reggae.) If I try to do a genius playlist based on him, there are no results. :( If Genius works the way they say it does (compares your collection to other people's collections) then Matisyahu (and definitely the Beatles) should work. If Genius works the way they say it does (compares your collection to other people’s collections) then Matisyahu (and definitely the Beatles) should work.
