Strip formatting from Clipboard text
Macworld offers up some quick tips to strip formatting from the clipboard. I mostly work in plain .txt files so it’s not a huge problem for me, but it can be extremely annoying when pasting text from the web into an email, for instance. Hold down the Option key when you press Cmd + v (i.e., paste) and the formating should magically disappear.
