  Macworld with some great advice to free up some disk space: empty iPhoto’s trash. When you delete a photo from iPhoto, it isn’t completely deleted. Rather, much like the Finder, the photo is moved to the Trash section in the side bar. Right click on the Trash section and select Empty Trash from the contextual menu (it’s the only option). I always knew about this but it’s a good reminder. I just cleared out my trash and gained an extra GB of disk space back. Thanks!

  BabyGotMac, which apparently lists Mac software that has been discounted, updated or released (I haven’t spent much time on the site), has this excellent logo which made me laugh out loud:

  

  Really, that’s brilliant, although I can’t see any logical connection with the content on the sight, and moreover it looks to be something that might scare a few potential readers off. But I wanted to share anyhow.

  Macworld’s 2008 list of Editor’s Choice (or Eddy) software and hardware for your Mac. Some of my favorites include Airfoil, CSSEdit and Flock.

  A new section of itunes lists the Top Apps of 2008 for every category (iTunes link). I’ve already seen a few I didn’t know about.
