TaskPaper – GTD for Simple Folk
TaskPaper is a simple app that lets you make lists of your ideas and upcoming tasks, organize them by project and tag them. Compared to powerhouse GTD apps like OmniFocus, TaskPaper is ultra simple and perfect for those who just need an easy system of jotting down ideas as they occur and organizing them in a straightforward way.
It’s hard not to emphasize the simplicity of the app above all else. The home window lists all of your projects with their tasks neatly listed below them. Clicking on the title of a project will display its associated tasks on a single page, and hitting the home button will bring you back to your ‘master list.’ To enter a new todo just hit Cmd + Return and TaskPaper will create a new bullet beneath your selected project. You can access all of your projects individually via a dropdown list in the app’s toolbar as well as a list of your tags. The app also lets you have several projects open simultaneously in tabs by Cmd clicking on their title.
TaskPaper is available from Hog Bay Software for $18.95. A trial version is also available so you can take it for a test run.
