I am confused. The term “Kiosk Mode” has traditionally meant “full screen” (no menus, no dock, no window or OS GUI artifacts at all) as in taking over the whole screen with the content of the page or site or application.

Your solution just maximizes the browser window and toggles a few of the Safari tool bars to invisible.
